Mountain Flying in the North-West
There are many formidable mountain ranges in USA and extreme weather
conditions associated with such terrain. There are excellent sources of
information on mountain flying techniques and practices.
Pilots intending to fly into these areas are encouraged to acquire hands on
flying instruction with an experienced CFI  familiar with the terrain and
characteristics of the mountain airstrips.
